A woman is shown nude to the waist, her face turned in profile with dark hair pulled up and warm flecks of yellow and red catching the light. Pavel Filin builds the figure with thick, gestural strokes against a cool grey-blue ground, and a wrap of deep blue anchors the lower body. The play of golden skin tones and the loose brushwork give this original oil painting a quiet, contemplative presence.
