Pavel Filin is a Russian-born, Czech-based artist whose work has been shown throughout Czechia. Trained classically, he paints primarily from observation — figures, the rooms they occupy, the light they pass through. Though portraiture is his primary field, he also works in landscape and still life. His depictions of human life and emotion are sensitive and thoughtful, with a signature softness — and enough mystery to leave each piece open to interpretation.
