A young girl hugs a stuffed toy against her chest, her wide blue eyes gazing softly past the viewer. Pavel Filin builds the child's face and arms with loose, loaded brushstrokes and warm flesh tones, set against a cool blue and teal background that lets the pink dress and yellow highlights glow. This tender original oil painting balances loose, expressive handling with a quiet, intimate mood.
